With its high-quality steel alloy and by adapting each individual inner and outer liner, the CN-HG901 chain provides excellent shifting quality with high running stability. Mud and dirt, the sophisticated design of the direction-bound chain offers little attack surface. Thanks to the use of Shimanos new SIL-TEC surface coating, the friction of the chain has been significantly reduced. Compared to simple coatings, SIL-TEC is a special coating process that prevents abrasion. Due to the built-in fluorine particles, the coating is also dirt-repellent, which additionally increases the service life of all drive components.
